Save the date: The most epic local craft beer dinner extravaganza ever designed for Renoites by a Renoite in Reno with Reno beers at a Reno restaurant under the Reno arch. Because Reno.
Join Drinkable Reno for the most local, most Reno, most Nevadan beer dinner ever conceived. Six courses. Six breweries. One city. And you. Be there, be there, be there (imagine it’s echoing in a large stadium)!
Save the date, Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 6:30 p.m., for Drinkable Reno’s Epic Local, Local Craft Beer Dinner Extravaganza — or Drinkable Reno’s Craft Beer Dinner for short — at Heritage Restaurant in the Whitney Peak Hotel under the legendary Reno arch.
At Heritage, Chef Mark Estee leads the team with Chefs Adam Bronson and Josh Berreman to create Nevada-inspired food. What is that? Heritage sources ingredients from area farms and ranches as well as local history to create simple, elegant dishes that change every day based on availability. The restaurant decor and small details harken to Nevada history, such as all servers wearing Levi jeans (which started in Nevada) and each meal ending in fortune cookies to signify the Chinese workers who built the railroad (let’s not get into the semantics of fortune cookie origins).
Why two “local” you ask? In addition to a unique locally sourced menu, six area breweries will create never-before released beers to pair specifically with each course. Drinkable Reno is working with each brewery and the chefs to come up with the best flavor combinations.
The breweries and restaurant are still finalizing the menu and beer offerings over the next 59 days so we don’t want to spoil the fun by releasing a menu or beer list that may change before the dinner. But we will cover the beer and menu creation for your enjoyment and excitement as soon as the whole shebang is finalized. The ticket price is dependent upon the menu and beer selection so tickets are not on sale yet.
