UTR hosts first annual outdoor winter beer festival

On Saturday, Feb. 21, Under the Rose Brewing Company will host the first outdoor winter beer festival, Freeze Your Pints Off, in the back alley behind the brewery on Fourth Street. The event will feature more than 12 local breweries showcasing their strong beers, winter warmers and barrel-aged brews. The festival will also include music by DJ MoJo JoJo and three local food trucks.
“We are thrilled to put on an event that really showcases the incredible beers being created right here in Reno, Sparks and the surrounding areas,” said Scott Emond, owner and brewmaster at Under the Rose. “This is definitely going to be a unique event and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone decked out in their winter gear enjoying great beer, good food and fun entertainment.”

“Northern Nevada is definitely at a turning point in terms of its growth and the burgeoning brewing industry is a prime example of that growth,” Emond said. “It’s an exciting time and Under the Rose is proud to be a part of it.”

Ticket Prices: $65 VIP pre-sale only, $45 General Admission pre-sale, $55 General Admission day-of, $15 Designated Driver add-on includes a meal ticket and unlimited coffee, hot chocolate and craft soda. Proceeds benefit the Nevada Craft Brewers Association, which promotes craft beer culture throughout the state.
