Seven days of Negronis raises money for charity and Reno’s cocktail IQ
This is a press release and includes no original reporting
Negroni Week is celebrates one of the world’s great cocktails and an effort to raise money for charitable causes around the world and in Reno. Negroni Week, presented by United States Bartender’s Guild (USBG) Reno-Tahoe, Yelp and a whole host of locally loved bars and restaurants will raise money for Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows when customers order a Negroni.
The event is simple: 7 Days, three ingredients (Campari, gin and sweet vermouth), one simple way to give back. Post picture as you explore each bar, just include #NegroniNV so Yelp and USBG Reno-Tahoe can regram, share and retweet all of it. Keep tabs on the national Negroni Week action on Imbibe Magazine’s Instagram and Twitter feeds (@imbibe) and by following the #NegroniWeek hashtag. And, of course, be sure to mix yourself a Negroni!
“The Negroni cocktail was invented circa 1919 in Florence, Italy, at Caffe Rivoire,” according to Imbibe Magazine. “It’s a classic cocktail that has made bitterness palatable for generations of drinkers. It can be served on the rocks or up in a cocktail glass.”

In celebration of Negroni Week, bartenders from your favorite bars and restaurants will be creating Negroni variations that will be paired with each course! Seating is limited, RSVP required.
